4 day weekend!

Imagine that, 4 days off IN A ROW! I feel a little spoiled.

Day 0. Went to the youth ministry network meeting in Houston then rode with Chris to pick up Noel to go camping. Here was a picture of the view from our camp site.
Noel grilled some delicious food. Day 1: The next morning, after our lovely neighbors shared their music with us until 3:30 am and then our campsite got torn apart by racoons and skunks, Mark and Ashley made us some pancakes.
That day we floated the river in New Braunfels. That activity wasn't really conducive to cameras, so you'll just have to imagine it. It was the first time I felt not hot in a few months. The water was pretty chilly, and then the sun never showed it's face. However, it was still 90 degrees outside, but it didn't feel hot - amazing!

That night we went to the Fayette County Fair and met some other friends there, including MiLisa and her boys Justin....

and Trevor who rode the mechanical bull.
and then we went to the petting zoo. Trevor really enjoyed this furry creature. and Ashley, Chris, and Mark enjoyed this goat, who had a crooked face. I should have gotten a picture of that!
And of course it wouldn't be a fair without all the junk food and ferris wheel. Or the spinning rides!
Day 2: On Saturday we went to the Fayette County Parade. It was not nearly as exciting as the Round Top Parade for the 4th of July, but it had some pretty great floats.

Sorry, I can't figure out how to get this one to go the right way...but I thought it was worth showing it anyways :)Day 3: After church on Sunday, we went out to Latium Falls (latch-um...I know, another weird Texas word) and hung out with some friends.
I think this poor cow gives a whole new meaning to "boney butt."
And here's cute little Lilly.
Day 4: And now it's Monday, and I don't feel like doing anything. I'm trying to do something productive today, but so far this blog is the only thing getting any attention!
