the weekend started off with a shower for malea, where she received her family's official bride hat. somehow her uncles and male cousins basically throw money at her when she's wearing that hat. i think i need a hat like that...:)

jessie was in charge of adding the ribbon to the bouquet. how colorful!

and then malea added it to her amazing outfit.

we had a blast at the western themed rehearsal dinner! roommates reunited! \

another great family tradition is this amazing picture of a mama dog tied to a dock as her litter drowns...amazingly awful is what i meant.

100th post!

just wanted to let you know that this is my 100th post. exciting...i know.

not as exciting as my life in the last two weeks!! grandma and grandpa witte came to visit, and then i got to go to colorado for malea's wedding! here are some pictures...

we drove to the nasa space center in houston. we got to ride on this cute little tram all around the space center.

this is the closest i've ever been to an armadillo! usually they are so skittish and run away very quickly, but this one hung out for just a little bit longer than normal, before squeeking and darting into the bushes.

we went to the capital in austin. spring is in the air (including the bluebonnets now!!)

grandma and grandpa are in that picture...just in case you miss them for the massive-ness of the building!
