so it's been a while

it's been a long while since the last post...sorry about that. here's a few high points from the last few weeks:
-we hosted the cert school for 3 weeks. we had some cool people out here for it, but i'm ready to not have so many neighbors! i like the peace and quiet that living out in the middle of the country brings.
-i started running again, after a break for christmas (no way was i going to run at 7000 feet and maybe 32 degrees!) and about a week and a half of being very sick.
-i was very sick for a week and a half...luckily our bodies are amazing things and i'm healed (no thanks to doctors...)
-i've been spending a lot of time with this guy named chris. he's pretty great.
-we had a really great mother daughter retreat and i taught the bible study. i finally got the chance (or maybe was forced into it...?) to incorporate the pottery program that i designed into a retreat. i think the ladies had a really great time. we had 27 people total - ranging in age from 4 to grandmas! it was really fun and went well for a first time retreat.
-starting tomorrow i have 3 weekends off in a row (well...kind of. i have to work on valentine's day)
-i'm making oatmeal raisin cookies right now and they smell delicious!
-the weather has been anywhere from 80 and sunny to 32 and cloudy.
-recruiting has officially started for summer staff, and it's exciting to have already done it once. i already know what i would like to change/improve from last year, so i'm excited to see how it goes. if you know anyone between 18 and 24 that wants a summer job...send them my way!
-i got a new phone! it's an enV and it's red. look it up - it's pretty cool with a full keyboard!
-i read an amazing book called "redeeming love" by francine rivers. check it out!

ok, i think that's all for now. my cookies are about to burn, so i better go fix that! which reminds me, the bible study went well, but the pottery didn't. the kiln didn't fire right, so now i have to try and fix my 40 year old kiln...yuck.
