voting day!

i voted as a texas resident today, which is a first, but also the first time i've voted in a primary. it was a big deal today! haha, maybe that's an exaggeration. oh, there is some seriously good news though! i met this kid at the senior high youth gathering who came as a "sponsor" (i use that word losely because he's a freshman in college) and as soon as i met him i thought he would be a great staff member. well, i put the peer pressure on him that weekend, but he wouldn't make a decision. yesterday he finally emailed me and told me he wants to work at lutherhill this summer - that's so exciting! he is stellar, and i'm excited to have him as a staff memeber this summer 1. because he's great, and 2. because he's a guy and i always need more male staff. so that's the excitement for today.

tomorrow i have the day off and i think i'm going to go explore bastrop state park. i'll let you know how it goes, so don't hold your breath or sit on the edge of your seat...that could get painful.
