more pictures!

I bought camp a new camera, so I'm very excited to use it.  We're having a great time at staff training.

 I think this sums up the ropes course in one picture.  I just love it!

 We had a great time at sing-a-long today, so much energy!

 And then we played musical chairs, with a twist.  I'm glad they're taking care of each other!

And we ended the day with devotions at the pool and night swim!

So I nixed one of the cards, and made this girly one instead.  I also updated the god's work one as well.  That is the theme of the ELCA right now, so I thought it'd be fun to tie it in to our Synod Assembly.  They're headed to the printer today, so I hope they print well!

I'm making some greeting cards to be sold as a fundraiser at our upcoming Synod Assembly.  They are all pictures from Peru and we'll be raising money for future trips there.  Let me know what you think!

Marlise's birthday!

We went to Galveston for a girl's weekend (well ok, more like 24 hours) to celebrate Marlise's 16th birthday ;)

 We went walking around in Galveston, and I had my camera out for the first time in quite a while!

 This is MiLisa modeling the waterline from Ike, the latest hurricane.  She looks a little too excited about the devastation though!!

 This is kind of how our walk went.  Jen was looking at the map to find the tree statues.  The city of Galveston turned their destroyed trees into really cool sculptures.  We were on a mission to find as many as possible.  Marlise was playing with her camera, MiLisa was on her phone, and Marlise's mom was taking pictures as well.  And I was, well, taking pictures.

 There's a night club/strip joint right under this sign for a church.  Very clever advertising.
